The Reykjavík Feminist Walking Tour looks back on the herstory of Reykjavík in an informative and fun way. It also relates them to the current, fourth wave of feminism that is ongoing in Iceland, and the world.

This is me, your tour guide. My name is Tinna, I’m 33 years old and I’ve lived in Iceland almost all of my life, but made short stops in the UK and the US, and I also travel quite a bit. I live and work in Reykjavík and I’ve lived here for 15 years, but I was born and raised in a small town in north Iceland, called Akureyri.

I majored in art in high school and then graduated with a Bachelor in Anthropology where I specialized in issues regarding women and young people. It was then that I got really interested in the history of women and marginalized groups, but it wasn’t until this year, 2019, that I decided to try to turn my interest into a business.
